Mit ihren Eigenkompositionen bewegen sich die vier Musiker von "Michael & the cooks" stilistisch mühelos zwischen Bluesrock und Poprock, bleiben sich dabei jedoch stets treu und behalten immer ihren eigenen Bandsound. Dieser ist geprägt durch Rock- und Blues-Acts der 70er: so finden sich neben elektrischer und akustischer Gitarre auch immer E-Piano und Orgelsounds.
